We are a house that truly enjoys being together. Game nights are a favorite around here—we’re competitive in the best way, full of playful banter, big reactions, and plenty of rematches. Cris and I love bonding over Spades, dominoes, and TV game shows, and those moments have become some of our favorite ways to unwind and connect.
Movie nights usually look like Cris and the kids wide awake and fully invested… and me slowly falling asleep somewhere in the background. We love piling up on the couch, snuggling under blankets, and sharing those quiet, cozy moments together.
Soccer is a big part of our life. Cris has his own youth soccer team, and between practices, games, and conversations about effort, teamwork, and discipline, the sport has become one of the ways we bond and support one another.
Our home is also full of music, cooking, and movement. We love cooking together, trying new things in the kitchen, and somehow always ending up dancing in the living room—sometimes planned, sometimes completely spontaneous.
Both Cristian and Zoey entered the world as NICU babies, and that beginning shaped me in ways I will always carry. It deepened my gratitude, my tenderness, and my awareness of just how precious these everyday moments truly are.
Zoey is full of curiosity and wonder. She loves animals and is fascinated by space—she could name all of the planets before she was two years old. She is already an avid reader and continues to amaze us. At DeSoto Private School, she surprised teachers and administrators by reading to her classmates, and now she is the student who reads to the 3K class each day. Watching her confidence, her love for learning, and her joy grow has been one of my greatest privileges.
Cristian, our youngest, is already surrounded by so much love, laughter, and movement. His presence has added a new sweetness to our home, and we are grateful every day for the journey that brought him here.
At the heart of it all is closeness. Time together. Shared routines. Inside jokes. Loud moments and quiet ones. Snuggles on the couch. Competition at the table. Dancing in the living room.
This is us.
